The insanely bright lights of Times Square at night. Seeing the beautiful skyline of lower Manhattan. The smell of roasted nuts and hot dogs from food carts. Getting lost in Central Park. Steam rising from under the busy streets each morning. Spotting the Empire State Building and using it as a way of figuring out roughly what street you're on. Buying huge slices of pizza at midnight. Dodging yellow cabs while trying to cross the road. The constant urge to use hand sanitiser while riding the subway.

It's all the "only in New York" moments of my trip that made it so unforgettable. Every little mental image, taste and smell of New York City will forever be imprinted in my mind.
